Sarah Mclellan Massage Therapy

Sarah Mclellan

My name is Sarah and at the heart of my work is a wish to offer a space that feels kind, respectful, and tailored to you. I want sessions to meet you where you are, with care and sensitivity to your individual needs and capacity in the moment.

My practice is rooted in a client-centred, touch-based somatic therapy approach. I have been working as a bodywork therapist for 19 years, and I remain deeply passionate about the benefits of bodywork and the ways touch can support healing, regulation, and reconnection. Over the years I have continued to train, deepen, and evolve my work as a therapist, and my practice now includes an integrative somatic approach through Neuro Affective Touch.

An integrative Neuro Affective Touch approach is gentle, slow, and layered. This work is offered fully clothed and is particularly supportive for issues linked to trauma and developmental trauma. Sessions are shaped carefully, collaboratively, and at a pace that feels manageable, and may also include Polyvagal-informed nervous system mapping and nervous system-regulating listening therapy through SSP. Touch is included when it feels useful, appropriate, and supportive within the therapeutic process.

I work with the effects of trauma, including developmental trauma, which can often show up through physical symptoms such as pain, restriction, numbness, and feelings of disembodiment. This integrative relational approach supports regulation, emotional processing, body-mind integration and a greater sense of safety, connection, and empowerment.

Bodywork is at the heart of my practice, and I have been qualified and in practice since 2008. Alongside my somatic therapy work, I continue to offer client-centred therapeutic massage and bodywork as an important part of my wider practice. A hybrid approach is also available where this feels right.

I am also an experienced teacher, facilitator, supervisor, mentor, and CPD provider.

Sessions are available in 60, 75, or 90-minute formats, with fees offered on a sliding scale to increase accessibility. Both session length and fee level can be discussed as part of a discovery session.
