Our Ethos
I’m Ali Rose, a Somatic Therapist and the founder of The Soma Rooms. The ethos and logo of this space are inspired by the Japanese tradition of Kintsugi—the art of mending broken pottery with gold. For me, this symbolizes the beauty, strength, and character that can emerge through healing.
When I created The Soma Rooms, I wanted to offer a place where therapeutic work honours your wholeness, and where healing is seen not as fixing, but as deepening—where cracks become openings for growth and integration. My vision has always been to support people in restoring balance across all levels of being, and to help you re-experience the natural integration of body, feeling, mind, and spirit.
There are times in life when we need the presence of a compassionate, skilled therapist to help us return to ourselves—to come home to the truth of who we are. I believe that when we’re supported and resourced, we can grow through challenge, rather than feel overwhelmed by it.
At The Soma Rooms, I work alongside a trusted team of practitioners who share my values. Together, we bring a range of integrative therapeutic approaches that honour the complexities of being human. We understand that physical tension, emotional pain, mental patterns, and even spiritual questions are interconnected—and they deserve to be met as a whole.
Our team includes deeply trained professionals in Somatic Therapy, Gestalt, and Trauma-informed Bodywork. We bring our experience, integrity, and care to every session, supporting meaningful and lasting change.
Creating a sense of safety and welcome is central to my approach. That’s why the therapy rooms at The Soma Rooms are designed to feel warm, homely, and supportive—so both therapists and clients can relax and feel held by the space itself.
